Branding for a Vietnamese Street Food Franchise in Canada

Flybird was born from the challenge of creating a visual identity for a new Vietnamese street food franchise. Our goal was to capture the urban, fast-paced, and authentic spirit of Hanoi’s street stalls and bring it to an international setting.

Inspired by the bustling street life of Vietnam’s capital — vibrant, multicultural, chaotic yet charming — we developed a brand universe that speaks of freedom, flavor, and adventure. Flybird is an invitation to travel through taste, to walk the streets of Asia from any Canadian city.

The central symbol of the brand is a bird, representing freedom of movement, nomadism, and the light spirit of a traveler. This graphic choice allowed us to build a fresh and colorful identity with subtle nods to Asian aesthetics, avoiding clichés.

We developed a flexible and striking visual system: custom illustrations, collectible stickers, packaging materials, and interior/exterior signage that bring character and energy to the space. Every element was designed to be both functional and memorable, helping to build a recognizable and scalable brand.
